Every Friday night around 6pm, the halls of Union Mills Learning Center start filling up with laughter, friendly conversations, and the sounds of bluegrass instruments being fine-tuned before the show. This has been a tradition for years and the crowd continues to grow as we get more local musicians coming through our venue. Each Friday night, we have live performances by local musicians in and around Western North Carolina. By providing a place for young musicians to get their start, we hope that these musicians will benefit much more down the road. We aren't in it to make money; in fact, we don't even charge admission to these shows. Every penny we collect in donations is given to the bands to help support their dreams. Bands from all over Western North Carolina have played the Music at the Mills bluegrass series.
