Lake Walk is a beautiful, well maintained, 2 bedroom with bonus area, and 3 full bath log cabin in the gated community of Lake Lure Village Resort. Lake Walk is close to Lake Lure Beach and Chimney Rock State Park. You might want to bring your own boat, kayak, canoe but no jet-skis, as long as you secure the proper permits from the Town of Lake Lure, or you might rent from a local marina. Boat launching takes place at the Town of Lake Lure Marina, alongside the town hall. Kayaks and canoes at Village Resort marina. The home features an upper porch that is both open and covered. Relax on the porch swing or in the rocking chairs with a good book, maybe even a hot or cold drink. Enjoy the deck at night too. The night sky offers a breathtaking view of the stars. Ground level patio offers chairs to watch the little ones play in the front yard. Inside you will find a kitchen that boasts both large and small appliances, and is well stocked to provide for simple breakfast, lunch, or preparing your favorite family dinner. Extra chairs are available to seat 6 comfortably. The living room offers a gas fireplace, flat screen TV, Direct TV, WI-FI, and DVD player. On the main level is the Master bedroom with King Bed and private full bath sporting a Jacuzzi jetted tub, walk in shower and dual sinks. The Guest bedroom provides a Queen Bed. Both provide ample closet space and ceiling fans. Just off the hallway near the guest bedroom is a full bath. The washer and dryer are just off the kitchen hall. Upstairs is where you’ll find the Loft area. The Loft is a great spot for the kids to enjoy board games, books, or music. The futon is comfortable for extra sleeping needs. Try to stay awake in the Lazy Boy. The lower level offers bonus room for extra sleeping, full bath, (walk in shower only) kitchenette with college fridge. The wood stove adds to the comfort of the home. There is flat screen TV with Direct TV hookup, DVD with movies, and a stereo. It’s a short drive, or better yet, walk to the Village Resort Waterfall and then on to the boat docks. Off to the left of the parking area is an easy walking path to the gazebo and picnic tables. Enjoy a book, lunch, or snacks all while enjoying the breathtaking view of Lake Lure and surrounding mountains. Just awesome! Lake Lure Village Resort was known as Camp Deerfield, a summer camp for boys and girls. There are trails to the waterfall, a sandy beach area, and the original camp gym provides for playing basketball.
