How do you get on the lake? You’ll need a permit to put your own boat in the water. Take it easy and rent from one of the providers listed below (no permit needed for that), or take it even easier, and book one of our skipper-guided pontoon boat tours or dinner cruises.

2930 Memorial Hwy, Lake Lure (The 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa)

This marina beside Morse Park is also the home for Lake Lure Tours, which provides popular guided pontoon boar tours. The 1927 Lake Lure Inn & Spa also books services for their guests through the marina. Tours run daily May through October. Call for hours in March and November. Closed in winter.

Provides: Boat slip rentals; public boat launch ramp (open year-round); Lake Lure Tours; motorized pontoon boat rental; hydro-bike, kayak, paddle boat, stand-up paddleboard rentals; sells gasoline and oil.

470 Memorial Hwy, Lake Lure
The certified ski and wakeboard instructors offer professional instruction for first-timers and more experienced skiers/riders. You can book your ski, wakeboard or tubing trip with them and they’ll drive.

Provides: Water ski instruction, trips; wakeboarding trips, instruction; pontoon and fishing boat rentals; kayak and stand up paddleboard rentals.

112 Mountains Blvd, Lake Lure
Guests staying at Rumbling Bald Resort can rent boats and take advantage of the resort’s swimming beach and boat rentals. The public can come to the resort and dine overlooking the lake at the Lakeview Restaurant, or go on a Lake Lure Dinner Cruise.

Provides to guests staying at the resort: Pontoon, kayak, canoe, pedal boats, and stand up paddleboard rentals; swimming/pool areas and private beach; Kids Adventure Camp (day camp).
